Spare wheel (Focus 2)

The spare wheel can be installed on either the front or rear axle. The car can be equipped with a full-size spare wheel or a small one ("dock-type").

The small spare tire is intended for short-term use only and should be replaced with a regular tire as soon as possible.

After installing a small spare tire, the pressure in its tire should be 4.2 kgf/cm².

The speed of movement with a small-sized wheel installed should not exceed 80 km/h. In addition, it is necessary to take into account that with this wheel, the nature of the anti-lock braking system (ABS), traction control system (TSC) and the electronic stability program (ESP) changes. Therefore, maximum acceleration of the car, intensive braking and sharp turns should be avoided.

When installing a small spare wheel, the ground clearance under the corresponding axle is reduced by approximately 30 mm.

It is prohibited to use small-sized wheels of other types than those specified specifically for a given vehicle model.

It is not permitted to install two or more small-sized spare wheels.
