Rear door glass replacement (Focus 2)

You will need a 10mm socket head.

1. Raise the glass all the way up.

2. Remove the rear door trim (see "Removing and installing rear door trim").

2. Remove the rear door trim (see «Removing and installing rear door trim»).


3. Remove the plugs of the two technological holes from the base of the windshield wiper.

4. Holding the glass, unscrew the rear… through the technological holes

5. …and the front screws securing the glass clip to the window lifter rocker arm.



WARNING: Be careful not to drop the frame mounting bolts inside the door, otherwise you will have to remove the window regulator to get them out of the door cavity.

7. …and the outer window sill, overcoming the elastic resistance of their fasteners.

8. Tilt the glass back and remove the front groove from the door frame groove…

9. …remove the end of the groove from the door…

10. …and remove the glass from the door by pulling it upwards and turning it in the door opening, as shown in the photo.

11. Install the rear door glass and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
