Fuel Delivery System Wiring Harness (1.8L/2.0L/1.6L Zetec-E)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01.

2. Disconnect the air cleaner outlet pipe.



3. Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor connector.



4. Disconnect the breather hose from the valve cover.



5. Disconnect the camshaft position sensor (CMP) connector.




6. Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve connector.



7. Disconnect the fuel injection system wiring harness plug connector.



8. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.

9. Remove the engine protection.



10. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.




11. Lower the vehicle.

12. Disconnect the cylinder head temperature sensor connector.



13. Disconnect the accelerator cable.

• 1. Remove the clamp and disconnect the cable from the throttle body.
• 2. Turn the outer cable sheath.
• 3. Disconnect the accelerator cable.

14. Disconnect the fuel injector plugs.




15. Remove the fuel injection system wiring harnesses.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
