DETAILS/RESULTS/ACTIONS |
B1: CHECKING THE COOLANT. |
|
WARNING: Never remove the coolant expansion tank while the engine is running. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the engine cooling system and personal injury. To avoid being scalded by hot water or steam from the cooling system, use extreme caution when removing the expansion tank from a hot cooling system. Wait until the engine has cooled, then place a thick cloth over the expansion tank cap and slowly turn it until the pressure begins to release. While releasing the pressure in the cooling system, move away from the expansion tank. After ensuring that all pressure has been released, twist and remove the expansion tank cap without removing the thick cloth. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury. |
