Removal
1. Remove the transmission. For additional information, refer to Section 308-03A / 308-03B / 308-03C.
2. Clean the gearbox input shaft splines until all traces of grease are removed.

CAUTION: Avoid contact with skin or eyes with brake fluid. If brake fluid contacts skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the input shaft seal ring, cover the transmission input shaft splines with tape.
NOTE: Do not reuse the clutch slave cylinder.
Loosen the bolts and remove the clutch slave cylinder (with thrust bearing).

Installation

CAUTION: Avoid contact with skin or eyes with brake fluid. If brake fluid contacts skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury.
CAUTION: Do not lubricate the clutch slave cylinder.
NOTE: Install a new clutch slave cylinder.
Install the clutch slave cylinder together with a new O-ring using sealant.

2. Remove the adhesive tape from the splines of the transmission input shaft.
3. Apply a thin coat of high temperature grease to the splines of the transmission input shaft.
4. Install the transmission. For additional information, refer to Section 308-03A / 308-03B / 308-03C.
