Power supply

The battery saver automatically turns off the interior lights when the doors are opened after 10 minutes. The timer starts counting when the ignition is switched to the OFF position (off) or ACC (accessories), and after the countdown time has elapsed, the interior lights will automatically turn off.

The battery saver automatically turns off the on-demand lighting after 30 minutes and silences the warning sounds. The timer starts counting when the ignition is switched to the OFF position (off) or ACC, and after the countdown time, the on-demand lighting and warning sounds are automatically switched off.

If, while the battery saver has deactivated the interior lights when the doors are opened, the interior lights on demand and/or the warning horns, one of the following effects on the vehicle has been detected, these above functions will be re-enabled and the device's timer battery saver will start a new countdown.
  • Ignition switches to START/RUN position (START/ OPERATION) or
  • any door (including tailgate) becomes ajar or closes or
  • unlocking of any door is activated.

The battery saver also turns on when service mode or diagnostic mode is entered.

Power on reset strategy:

Functions are enabled if, after resetting the power on...
  • the ignition switches to the START/RUN position or
  • any door (including tailgate) becomes ajar or opens or
  • the car is unlocked.

Outdoor Lighting

Direction indicators and hazard warning lights

Turn signal lighting includes:
  • left and right front direction indicators;
  • left and right side repeaters of turn signals;
  • left and right rear turn signals (yellow);
  • indicators for left and right turn indicators located on the instrument panel.

The turn signals flash to the left or right when the turn signal switch is in the left turn or right turn position, respectively, and the ignition switch is in the START/RUN position. In addition, synchronously with the flashing of the direction indicators, an audible signal works. If an external turn signal bulb burns out, the blinking intensity for that side should double. When the hazard warning lights are on, when the hazard warning light switch is turned on, the direction indicators flash on the left and right side regardless of the position of the direction indicator switch. The hazard warning light works regardless of the position of the ignition switch. In addition, synchronously with the flashing of the direction indicators, an audible signal works. If the outer turn signal bulb burns out, the flashing intensity remains the same.

  • 6. feedback of changing locking modes (lock locks)

Interior lamps

Interior lighting switched on when doors are opened The door open interior lighting feature turns on the vehicle's interior lights when any of the following events occur:
  • open any of the car doors (not including tailgate);
  • the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position and unlocking is activated;
  • the ignition switches from the START/RUN position to the OFF or ACC position.

The interior light function, switched on when the doors are opened, turns off the lights in the car interior when all the car doors are closed (not including tailgate) and any of the following events occur:
  • expires twenty-five seconds after the lights were switched on or the last door was closed (and the central locking of the car was not activated), depending on what happened last;
  • the last door was closed and the car was centrally locked;
  • ignition switches from START/RUN to OFF or ACC;
  • the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position and the lock/unlock is activated.

In addition, the interior lighting function that comes on when the doors are opened turns off the interior lighting when the battery saver timer expires. When you turn on the interior lights, which are turned on when you open the doors, their brightness increases for 0.7 seconds. When you turn off the interior lights, which are switched on when the doors are opened, they go out within 0.7 seconds. When the lamps turn off due to the operation of the battery saver, they will turn off immediately without delay.

Security and visibility

Heated windshield

The heated windshield function heats the windshield for up to 4 minutes after the corresponding switch is activated, when the ignition switch is in the START/RUN position and the alternator provides the appropriate charge signal. The heated windshield turns off 4 minutes after the heated windshield is started, when the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position, when the alternator stops charging, or when the switch is activated again while the 4-minute timer is still running. When the windshield heating is on, the corresponding control lamp lights up.

Heated glass rear window and outside rear-view mirrors

The heated rear window and door mirror function heats the rear window glass and door mirrors for up to 14 minutes after the heated rear window switch is activated with the ignition switch in the START/RUN position. The Heated Rear Window and Door Mirrors function stops heating after 14 minutes from being turned on, when the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position, or when the switch is activated again, while the 14-minute timer is still running.. When the heated rear window/outside mirrors are switched on, the corresponding indicator lamp lights up.

Cleaning / washing the windshield

The windshield wipe/wash function can only be activated when the ignition switch is in the START/RUN position. There are five windshield wiper modes: off, wipe once, intermittent, low speed and high speed.

When low speed is selected, the wipers continuously clear the windshield while moving at low speed. When the high speed mode is selected, the wipers continuously clear the windshield while moving at high speed. When intermittent is selected, the wipers clean the windshield by moving at low speed across

  • fixed intervals or
  • intervals depending on the wiper interval setting (delays). There are 6 setting options and the intervals are shown in the table below. When the wipers are intermittent and a shorter interval is selected (those. cleaning occurs more often), will be executed "immediate cleaning", and then the purifiers will start running at a new, shorter interval. After selecting a longer interval, the delay time for the new interval is used to set the delay time for the next cleaning cycle. The delay time is measured from the end of the last cleaning cycle, not from the time the interval was changed.

When you select the windshield washer mode, washer fluid is supplied to the windshield by nozzles. If the wipers were in intermittent or off, after the washer is turned off, the wipers will start at low speed and perform 3 wipe cycles, and then return to intermittent or off, respectively. If the wipers were operated at low or high speed, the wipers will continue to operate at the appropriate speed for the duration of the washer operation. If the wipers switch to intermittent or off while the washer is running, the wipers will perform 3 wipe cycles after the washer is turned off.

Rear window wiper: Intermittent/wash/wipe when reversing

Rear window cleaning can only be activated when the ignition switch is in the START/RUN position.

Intermittent mode:

After turning on the wiper, it wipes the rear window glass at a low speed and there is a 10 second interval between wipe cycles.

Cleaning after washing:

When the rear window washer mode is selected, washer fluid is applied to the rear window glass and the wipers operate continuously at a low speed. After the washer is turned off, the wipers perform 2-3 cleaning cycles.

Cleaning while reversing:

If the rear window wiper is not in normal mode and reverse gear is selected, the ignition switch is in the START/RUN position and the windshield wipers are on, the rear window wiper cycles the windshield wiper.

Information and warnings for the driver

Seat belt warnings

The seat belt warning function activates the horn and the seat belt warning light to warn the driver that his seat belt is not fastened. If the driver's seat belt is not fastened within the first 6 seconds after switching the ignition to the START/RUN position, an appropriate warning will sound. The horn stops after 6 seconds or after the driver's seat belt is fastened. If the driver's seat belt is not fastened within the first 65 seconds after switching the ignition to the START/RUN position, the seat belt warning lamp will illuminate. The warning lamp will turn off after 65 seconds or after the driver's seat belt is fastened.

Seat belt reminder function

The seat belt reminder function is a warning that complements the seat belt warning function. After the vehicle's speed exceeds 3 km/h, this function will constantly remind the driver that his seat belt is unfastened by periodically turning on the horn and the seat belt warning light located on the instrument panel.

Immediately after switching the ignition to the START/RUN position, the activated seat belt reminder function switches between 6-second on and 30-second off, and so on until completely disabled.

Once started, the seat belt reminder function will only stop when the seat belt is fastened while the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position, or 5 minutes have passed after the reminder function has been started. If a customer fastens and then unfastens their seat belt, the seat belt reminder function will NOT give a warning after unfastening.

If the seat belt was fastened before the seat belt reminder function was activated, this function will remain inactive, i.e. will not give a reminder until the above conditions are satisfied on the next ignition cycle from OFF or ACC to START/RUN.

Requirements for programming the seat belt reminder function:
  • 1. Start with the ignition off and the driver's seat belt unbuckled.
  • 2. Switch the ignition to the RUN position (it is not required to start the car engine)
  • 3. Wait until the seat belt warning light turns off (approximately one minute).
  • 4. Fasten then unfasten the seat belt 3 times, ending in the unfastened state.
  • 5. Turn on/off the headlights.
  • 6. Fasten then unfasten the seat belt 3 times, ending in the unfastened position.
  • 7. Actions under paragraphs. 4 - 6 should be completed within 60 seconds.
  • 8. After step 6 is completed, the seat belt lamp will turn on for 3 seconds.
  • 9. After switching off of a control lamp of seat belts fasten, and then unfasten a seat belt. This will enable the seat belt reminder feature if it has been disabled, or disable it if it has been enabled.
  • 10. Confirmation of activation of the seat belt reminder function is provided by flashing the seat belt warning lamp at a frequency of 4 times per second for 3 seconds, then turning off this lamp for 3 seconds, and then again flashing the seat belt warning lamp at a frequency of 4 times per second for 3 seconds. 3 seconds.
  • 11. Confirm that the seat belt reminder function is off by flashing the seat belt warning light 4 times per second for 3 seconds.
  • 12. Programming of the seat belt reminder function is automatically terminated after confirmation is completed.
  • 13. The seat belt reminder function will automatically exit the programming mode without changing its enabled state if the steps in step 9 are not performed within 10 seconds after the steps in step 6 are completed.

NOTE: The seat belt reminder feature should be set to the lowest warning priority.

NOTE: This feature is also programmed using WDS.

NOTE: The seat belt warning lamp will flash in sync with the horn (beep warning of headlights left on; on many luxury vehicles: warning horn "key in the ignition").

Headlights left on warning

The headlights left on warning function is activated when the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position, the headlight switch is in the PARKING LIGHTS or LONG BEAM position, and the driver's door is not fully closed. When all of these conditions are met at the same time, a warning tone will sound.

Reverse Warning

The reverse gear warning function is activated when the ignition switch is in the START/RUN position and the gear lever is (automatic or mechanical) is in the reverse gear position. When both of these conditions are met at the same time, a warning tone will sound.

Door Incomplete Warning

The Door Incomplete Warning feature illuminates the appropriate indicator to warn the driver that one or more of the doors (including tailgate) ajar. This feature works when the ignition switch is in the START/RUN position. The indicator has a 3 second check following the ignition switch to the RUN position.

PRNDL Out of Park Warning

PRNDL out of park warning is activated when the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position, PRNDL selector (Automatic transmission) not in park gear and the driver's door is ajar. When all of these conditions are met at the same time, a warning tone will sound.

Request for sounds

The horn request feature emits single or repeated beeps when the ignition switch is in the START/RUN position. Beep prompts are used for features such as:
  • Low Fuel Warning
  • Trip computer button confirmation
  • Airbag back-up warning
  • Service Interval Index (= overspeed alarm)

Sound Priority

Using a priority system, the audio priority controller decides which of the many functions desiring to control the audio signal gets control. The horn priority controller provides chimes to warn the driver of the following:
  • reminder sound
  • message center alerts and toggle clicks

Audible Warning «key in the ignition»

Audible Warning «key in the ignition» alerts the driver exiting the vehicle that the key is in the ignition. Warning function «key in the ignition» activates the appropriate warning chime immediately after the ignition is switched to OFF or ACC when the key is in the ignition and the driver's door is open. The feature also immediately sounds a warning chime when the driver's door is opened with the key in the ignition and the ignition switch in the OFF or ACC position. The key-in-ignition chime function communicates with the horn priority controller.

Electrically operated electronic comfort devices

Locking (blocking) / unlock (unlocking)

Central locking

Central locking locks all doors so that they cannot be opened from outside the vehicle. The central locking function can be activated when the door lock cylinder is turned to the locked position. When the vehicle's central locking is enabled and the tailgate is closed, the turn signal/hazard warning lamps will flash once to visually indicate that the vehicle is configured for central locking without double locking. Central locking can also be activated by pushing the inside door handle to the lock position, regardless of the position of the ignition switch. If one of the doors with a key cylinder is opened a little while the central locking function is activated, all doors will be unlocked.

Double blocking of door locks

Double locking locks all doors so that they cannot be opened from outside the vehicle and furthermore separates the inside door handle from the locking system so that the doors cannot be opened from inside the vehicle as well.

The dual lock function is activated when the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position, doors with key cylinders are closed, and the lock button on the remote control is pressed once.

If the ignition switch is in the STAR/RUN position when the double lock is activated, all doors will be centrally locked. If the vehicle speed exceeds 5 km/h, all doors will be locked centrally. When the vehicle is dual-locked and all doors are closed, the turn signal/hazard warning lights will flash twice to visually indicate that the vehicle's dual locks have been successfully engaged. If only central locking is enabled on the vehicle, there will be no visual indication.

Unlocking a separate door

The single door unlock feature automatically unlocks only the driver's door when the unlock button on the remote control is pressed only once within 3 seconds.

If dual locking has been enabled on the vehicle, when the driver's door is unlocked, the other doors will be locked centrally.

Central unlocking

The central unlocking function automatically unlocks all vehicle doors when,
  • the door lock cylinder rotates to the unlock position,
  • the unlock button on the remote control is pressed twice within 3 seconds,
  • the inside door handle is pulled out to the unlock position.

The system automatically centrally locks the car (and consequently activates the anti-theft system) after remote unlocking, if no doors were opened, including the back door, or if the ignition was left in the OFF position for 45 seconds.

Automatic locking

The automatic locking function locks all doors when all passenger doors are closed, the ignition is in the START/RUN position, and the vehicle speed is less than 7 km/h. This function will re-lock the door if any door is opened, all doors are closed, and the vehicle speed is 7 km/h or higher. If the vehicle has been locked using automatic locking, there will be no feedback using the turn signals.

Activate/deactivate automatic locking:
  • This function allows access to the automatic locking function. within 30 seconds
  • turn the ignition switch to the START/RUN position.
  • Push and pull the inside door handle 3 times.
  • Turn the ignition switch to the OFF or ACC position.
  • Push and pull the inside door handle 3 times.
  • Turn the ignition switch to the START/RUN position.
  • Programming mode for automatic locking is entered (short beep).
  • Push and pull the inside door handle.
  • Access to a previously disabled auto-lock feature will be enabled and a previously enabled auto-lock feature will be disabled.
  • Confirmation - a short beep to disable automatic locking.
  • A short beep followed by a long beep to enable automatic locking access.
  • The programming mode is exited by switching the ignition to the OFF or ACC position, or it will happen by itself after 5 minutes have elapsed since entering the programming mode (short beep).

Emergency unlocking

The emergency unlocking function automatically unlocks the vehicle centrally if it is involved in an accident (frontal collision / rear collision / side collision / rollover).

Forced locking

Internal forced locking/unlocking requests centralized locking/unlocking of all vehicle doors (salon) when receiving an input signal from any internal positive lock switch. Forced locking and unlocking of the doors works regardless of the position of the ignition switch and regardless of the vehicle speed.

The process of programming the unlocking mode with remote control «keyless» entrance (RKE)

Pressing the lock and unlock buttons on the remote control simultaneously for 4 seconds will switch the unlocking mode from single door unlocking to centralized unlocking. Pressing both buttons again within 4 seconds will switch back. Mode change is indicated by 2 hazard warning lights. The ignition switch must be in the OFF or ACC position.

Latch Feedback Processing (blocking) / alarm

Feedback using light signaling operates according to the configuration of the vehicle,
  • if the vehicle is configured for dual locking, central locking and perimeter anti-theft, after the dual lock is activated, all doors, tailgate/trunk and hood are closed, the direction indicators will flash twice.
  • if the vehicle configuration is set to double lock and perimeter anti-theft device, after enabling double lock (key or remote control), closing all doors, tailgate/tailgate and hood, the direction indicators will flash once.
  • If the vehicle is configured for double locking and central locking, after the double lock is activated, all doors, tailgate/tailgate are closed, the direction indicators will flash twice.
  • if the vehicle is configured for central locking, after centrally locking the vehicle using the remote control, close all doors (by availability) and tailgate/trunk direction indicators will flash once.

Note: Double blocking feedback is activated after the motor is activated.

Remote control

The remote control function allows you to remotely activate many vehicle functions, including locking/unlocking the vehicle doors, unlocking the trunk, and chimes.

The following remote control functions are included in the power window request function: general closing of windows, general opening of windows.

In addition to the above activated functions, the remote control has many secondary functions: automatic re-locking, activation of the perimeter anti-theft device, temporary disabling of interior scanning, switching on interior lighting.

Anti-theft alarm

The anti-theft alarm function controls the activation of the anti-theft alarm by sounding and visual alarms that are visible and audible from outside the vehicle. The anti-theft alarm function, using the appropriate controllers, requests the activation of the direction indicators and horn before requesting them to be deactivated.

The anti-theft alarm is activated by pressing the PANIC button on the remote control when the ignition is in the OFF or ACC position. The rest of the time this feature is disabled.

The anti-theft alarm is deactivated:
  • second press of the PANIC button on the key fob
  • when the ignition is switched from OFF or ACC
  • when elapsed, maximum 2.75 minutes (- 0.25 minutes) (NY state adjustment), starting from initial activation.

For vehicles with both a perimeter anti-theft alarm and a simple anti-theft alarm, pressing the PANIC button while the perimeter anti-theft alarm is active will deactivate the alarm without triggering the anti-theft alarm.

Trunk unlocking

The trunk release function unlocks the trunk when one of the following occurs while the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position or the vehicle speed is less than 4 mph:
  • the trunk release button on the remote control key fob is pressed;
  • the trunk release button inside the vehicle is pressed and the vehicle is not centrally locked.

Power window request

General closing of windows/sunroof via remote control or key.

The General/Remote Closing feature automatically closes all windows in the vehicle, including the sunroof, if it is opened electrically, when one of the following occurs while the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position:
  • the outer door key cylinder is rotated to the locked position and held for 1.5 to 2.0 seconds;
  • the lock button on the remote control is pressed and held for 1.5 - 2.0 seconds.

If, before the master/remote closing is completed, the door lock cylinder is rotated from the locked position and returned to either the locked or unlocked position, the power windows will stop moving. Likewise, if before the master/remote closing is completed, the lock button on the remote control is released and any other button is pressed, the power windows will stop moving. If when moving the glass (closing the window) If an object is caught between the glass and the door frame seal, the glass will stop moving and move to a safe position.

General opening of windows/sunroof by remote control or key.

The global/remote opening function automatically opens all vehicle windows except the sunroof when one of the following occurs while the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position:
  • the outer door lock cylinder is rotated to the unlock position and held for 1.5 - 2.0 seconds;
  • the unlock button on the remote control is pressed and held for 1.5 - 2.0 seconds.

If, before master/remote opening is completed, the door lock cylinder is rotated from the unlock position and rotates back or to the lock or unlock position, the power windows will stop moving. Similarly, if before the general/remote opening is completed, release the unlock button on the remote control and press any other button, the power windows will stop moving.

Protection

Perimetric anti-theft alarm

The perimeter anti-theft alarm function activates an audible and visual alarm outside the vehicle when unauthorized access to the vehicle is detected, the radio is removed, or the ignition switch is in the START/RUN position while the system is activated. Light signaling uses direction indicators, emergency light signaling. The horn uses the horn of the anti-theft system (separate from normal horn). A description of the perimetric anti-theft system is given in the following paragraphs.

Activation

Activation of the perimetric anti-theft system is initiated when all doors are locked (those. central locking or double locking enabled) when the ignition switch is in the OFF or ACC position. After locking the doors, the phase begins "Preactivation", which consists of 20 seconds of waiting before entering the state "Activated". The pre-activation phase is a delay that allows any door, hood or trunk/tailgate to be opened and closed without triggering an alarm. At the end of the preactivation phase, each input that is in the protected state (e.g. the trunk is closed), is activated and ready to trigger the alarm. Any input that is NOT in the protected state (e.g. trunk open), enters standby mode and will not trigger an alarm. As soon as the delayed input signal returns to the protection state (e.g. trunk goes from partially closed to closed) and 20 seconds elapse, it becomes activated and ready to trigger an alarm. If dual vehicle locking is enabled, the interior scanning system will be passively activated after a 20 second pre-activation phase, provided that all doors, including the tailgate, are closed. Interior scanning will be disabled if only central locking is enabled or if any door is left open.

Shutdown

Whether pre-activated or activated, the perimeter anti-theft alarm function is disabled when one of the following events occurs:
  • the door lock cylinder returns to the unlock position;
  • the unlock button on the remote control is pressed.

If the trunk is opened using the trunk lock cylinder or remote control fob, the perimeter anti-theft alarm function disables the trunk as a trigger input and temporarily disables interior scanning. before the trunk input and the interior scanning system become activated and ready to trigger the alarm again, the trunk must be closed and the 20 second pre-activation phase must elapse.

When the Perimetric Anti-Theft Alarm feature is enabled, it will trigger an alarm when one of the following events occurs without a valid shutdown as described above:
  • any door is slightly opened, including the back door, or the hood;
  • the radio is removed;
  • the ignition switches to the START/RUN position.
  • the interior scanning sensor has registered entry into the interior.

When the alarm is triggered, sound warning (sound signal) will be active for 30 seconds and the light warning (direction indicators / hazard warning lights) - within 5 minutes. If the triggered alarm is not disabled and 5 minutes have passed, the alarm is disabled but remains active. If another trigger event occurs, the alarm is triggered again.

Power On Reset Strategy

The system will always save its state if each trigger input is in the following state:
  • activated
  • preactivated
  • disabled

The system will always save its state if the following trigger inputs are present (launch) alarms:
  • interior scanning
  • radio

After a 'power-on reset', the system will:
  • be in the state it was before the 'power-on reset' other than interior scan;
  • trigger an alarm if there is a corresponding input signal;
  • was in the activated state and exited from its default value (for example: closed door -> open door) when the power is off.
  • interior scanning will always enter the pre-activation phase after a 'power-on reset'.

Interior scanning

The interior scan function constantly scans the interior for any movement in it to determine if there is an intrusion into the vehicle when the perimeter anti-theft alarm function is activated. This feature only works if the vehicle's dual lock is enabled and all vehicle doors, including the tailgate, are closed.
