Withdrawal
CAUTION: Disconnect wire "masses" from the battery. See Section 414-01 for more information.
1. Remove the radio/cassette player and CD player (in the presence of). See Section 415-01 for more information.
2. Remove the socket with the heater/air conditioning control panel.
3. Remove the socket with the heater/air conditioning control panel (continuation).
- Disconnect the seven electrical connectors (shown six).

NOTE: To remove the Bowden cables, turn the rotary switches all the way to the left.

- Release the Bowden cables.
5. Remove the lower trim panel for the footwell on the passenger side.
6. Release and remove air distribution cables.
7. Release and remove temperature control cables.
- Release and remove temperature control cables.
Installation

NOTE: Separate the new Bowden cables without twisting and make sure they are easily accessible.
NOTE: To install the Bowden cables, turn the rotary switches all the way to the left. The mechanism is easily hooked in this position.
NOTE: Bowden cables are identical for right hand drive and left hand drive vehicles, although they connect to the choke actuator on opposite sides.
Reinstall the elements in reverse order.
2. Check operation of Bowden cables.
