High pressure relay — removal and installation (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the high pressure switch.

NOTE: Make sure the high pressure switch valve is completely closed after removing the high pressure switch to prevent refrigerant loss.

Remove the high pressure relay.

• Discard the O-rings.

Installation

1.

NOTE: Install new high pressure switch O-rings.

NOTE: Apply clean cooling oil to the high pressure switch O-rings before installation.

To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
