Withdrawal


All cars

1. Remove the wheel hub.

Vehicles with anti-lock brakes

2. Remove the wheel speed sensor ring and discard it as no longer needed.



All cars

3. Using a suitable screwdriver, remove the moisture seal holder (in the presence of).

4. Remove the retaining ring.



5. Using the special tool, remove the wheel bearing.

NOTE: The new wheel knuckle has a moisture seal installed.


Remove the wheel knuckle and discard it as no longer needed.



Installation


All cars

1. Using the special tool, install a new wheel bearing.



2. Install retaining ring.



3. Using the special tools, install the moisture seal holder.




Vehicles with anti-lock brakes

CAUTION: Do not hit the wheel speed sensor ring.


CAUTION: Make sure the wheel speed sensor ring is clean.


CAUTION: Do not allow any contact between the wheel speed sensor ring and the magnetic surface.


NOTE: Install a new wheel speed sensor ring.


Using the special tool, install the wheel speed sensor ring.

5.
NOTE: Install a new wheel knuckle.


Install the wheel knuckle.



6. Install the wheel hub. For more information, refer to the Wheel Hub chapter available in this section.
