Gearbox iB5 (1st gear): arrow - power flow from the engine; 1 - drive shaft; 2 - output shaft; 3 - output gear; 4 - transmission gear - 1st gear; 5 - synchronizer blocking ring - 1st / 2nd gear; 6 - gearing - 1st gear.
In the iB5 gearbox, only the selector cable can be adjusted in length - the shift cable cannot be adjusted. In order to align both cables of the MTX-75 gearbox, you need a special tool (16-088A) Ford firm. It is inserted from the side onto the switching dome and then rotated clockwise by 30°. To do this, the gear lever is placed in the neutral position.
If the gears are really jammed, we advise you to have the problem repaired by a Ford specialist workshop. From experience, it makes no sense to fix a defect without the mentioned tool.
Gearbox iB5
Put the shift lever in neutral position.
Take out from clips facing of the lever of a gear change.
Insert a 3 mm twist drill. See illustration. about operating the iBS manual transmission.

Raise the vehicle on a lifting platform or place it securely on tripods.
Open the cover under the car (arrows) switch and selector cables.

Adjust the gear change - unlock the selector cable 1, to do this, press the colored insert, put the selector lever 2 in the middle position.
Shift Adjustment - Stage 1
Engage 3rd or 4th gear 1 (press the gear lever to the left or right starting position). Lock selector cable 2.
Shift Adjustment - Stage 2
Close the switch and selector lever cover.
Lower the car.
Remove twist drill.
Install the shift lever cover.
