Install the gearshift lever housing assembly and tighten its mounting bolts. Secure the stabilizer to the gearbox by installing the rubber bushing. Install the gearshift lever cup in place. Attach rod 2 to the drive shaft coming out of the gearbox and spring 5 to the rod. Next, adjust the gearshift drive as described earlier in the chapter "Removing and installing the gearbox". Install the exhaust end pipe in place and lower the car to the ground. Install the protective cover and gearshift lever handle.
