If the battery has been disconnected, give the trip computer a head start of about 8 km to program all elements with basic data. Otherwise, proceed as follows.

Check the electrical connectors for proper connection. They should not be corroded. For further checks, workshops use a special engine tester adjusted to the control unit.

Insufficient fuel pressure can also cause fluctuating idle speed. In this case, a pressure test should be performed at a workshop.
