Engines with a working volume of 1.4/1.6 l
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Remove the drive belt as described above.
Remove the wire protection panel on the generator.
Disconnect the wire connector, remove the wire.
Remove the lower mounting bolt.
Unscrew the upper mounting bolt and unscrew the nut.
Remove the generator.
When installing, install the structural elements in reverse order.
Tighten the mounting bolts and nut to 45 Nm.
Tighten the wire tongue to 8 Nm.
Engines with a displacement of 1.8/2.0 l
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Remove the drive belt as described above.
Remove the wire protection panel on the generator.
Disconnect the wire connector, remove the wire.
Remove the coolant expansion tank bolt.
Disconnect the coolant expansion tank clamps and, securing it from leakage, set it aside.
Loosen the servo control hydraulic oil expansion tank and, securing it from leakage, set it aside.
Disconnect the engine wiring harness and set it aside.
Unscrew the generator mounting bolts - remove the generator
When installing, assemble the structural elements in reverse order.
Tighten the mounting bolts to 25 Nm.
Tighten the wire tongue to 8 Nm.
Diesel engines
Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
Remove the drive belt as described above.
Remove the lower engine cover.
Remove the wire cover on the generator.
Disconnect the connector on the generator.
Focus with air conditioning
Remove the air conditioning compressor and set it aside.
Remove the bolts (arrow) from the belt pulley holder.
Belt pulley holder: remove bolts (arrows)
Remove the generator coupling (arrows) - 3 bolts.
Remove the generator coupling - 3 bolts (arrows)
Loosen the generator mounting bolts (arrows) - remove the generator.
Remove the generator by loosening the mounting bolts (arrows)
When installing, assemble the structural elements in reverse order.
Tighten the mounting bolts to 25 Nm - the generator coupling to 12 Nm.
