Dismantling

Disconnect the battery ground wire. Raise the front of the vehicle securely.

Open the cap on the coolant expansion tank. Open the coolant drain valve and drain the coolant into a clean container for later use.

Disconnect the hoses on the heat exchanger - then blow the heat exchanger with compressed air, otherwise the coolant remaining in the heat exchanger will spill into the passenger compartment during dismantling.

Lower the front of the car.

Remove the switch lever cover. Unscrew the switching head, remove the trim from the clamps, if any, disconnect the connector.

Remove the middle console. To do this, remove the rubber plugs (arrows) and loosen the screws.

Remove the rear seat heating duct.

Remove the lower trim at the feet on the passenger side next to the driver.

Unscrew the bolts (2), loosen the fixing plates (7) and carefully press the heat exchanger down and out to the side.

Installation

When mounting, mount all structural elements in reverse order. Pay attention to the correct location of the guide pins. If the housing does not seal well after installation, or if the mounting plates may have broken, use steel clamps instead.

Carry out a functional test. Check coolant level.
