Replacing interior lighting bulbs (Scorpio 2)

Caution: Before replacing an incandescent lamp, switch off the corresponding consumer using the switch.

Interior light/reading lamp

Using a small flat-head screwdriver, carefully pry the lamp away from the roof trim in the areas shown by the arrows.

Unfasten the reflector and move it to the side. Remove the spotlight and replace it with a new one.

Models with additional reading lights, move the contact plate to the side and replace the reading light bulbs.

Attach and secure the reflector.

Insert the lamp into the recess in the roof trim and press it until it locks into place.

Folding mirror illumination

Using a small flat-head screwdriver, pry up the mirror frame.



Remove the spotlight and replace it with a new one.

Place and secure the mirror frame.

Lighting lamps: footwell, luggage compartment, door locking mechanism, door sill

Using a small flat-head screwdriver, pry the light out.



Cars up to 8/94: Turn the lamp housing to the left and remove the bulb holder. Remove the bulb from the holder.

Note: The lamp is inserted, not screwed in.

Cars from 9/94: remove the spotlight bulb. If the bulb is loose, carefully bend the contact tabs.

Cars up to 8/94. Insert a new bulb into the holder. Push the lamp housing onto the bulb holder and turn it to the right to lock it.

Press the flashlight body into the recess and secure it in place.
