Removal the timing chain tensioner

Removal the timing chain tensioner

1. Install (with the side with the installation mark facing out) the chain sprocket together with the key onto the crankshaft.

2. Install the fuel pump drive sprocket holder flange together with the oil supply line.

3. Install the timing chain tensioner.

4. Install the fuel pump drive sprocket and turn the crankshaft so that the piston in the 1st cylinder is at TDC.

5. Install the timing chain so that its red markings match the markings on the camshaft and fuel pump sprockets, and the white markings match the markings on the crankshaft sprocket.

6. Install the chain tensioner sprocket together with the eccentric and tension the chain so that there is a gap of 0.5–1 mm between the tensioner cheek and its holder. Tighten the tensioner roller.

7. Replace the timing chain housing sealing ring and screw the housing on.
