Replacement of pillows of a suspension bracket of system of release of the fulfilled gases

The rubber cushions of the exhaust system suspension are replaced if, due to their damage or excessive deformation, the system elements begin to knock, in contact with the body or other vehicle components.



The suspension cushions of the additional silencer and the front cushion of the main silencer are replaced with the same methods..



... and the replacement of the rear suspension cushion of the main muffler is somewhat different.

1. Place the vehicle on a pit or lift.



2. To replace the front suspension cushion of the additional muffler, pry with a screwdriver and slide the cushion from the bracket..




3.... and then remove the pillow from the subframe bracket.

Note. If you are replacing a damaged pad, cut it open with a knife to make it easier to remove.

4. Install a new cushion in the reverse order of removal. To facilitate the installation of the pillow, grease the bracket of the subframe and the additional muffler with soapy water.



5. In a similar way, replace the rear suspension cushion of the additional muffler..



6.... and a pillow of a forward suspension bracket of the main muffler.




7. To replace the rear suspension cushion of the main muffler, slide the cushion from the bracket..



8. …rotate the cushion 90°…



9.... and remove it.

10. Install a new main muffler rear suspension pad in the reverse order of removal.
