Replacement of pillows of a suspension bracket of system of release of the fulfilled gases

The rubber suspension pads of the exhaust system are replaced if, due to their damage or excessive deformation, the system elements begin to knock, in contact with the body or other vehicle components.

You will need a flat blade screwdriver.

... and the rear of the main muffler are suspended on two identical pillows. To replace them, follow the steps below.



1. Slide the pad off the collector bracket with a screwdriver (or muffler) …



2….and then from the bracket on the subframe (back).

GOOD ADVICE: If you are replacing a damaged cushion, cut it with a knife to the holes to make it easier to remove.

3. Install a new cushion in the reverse order of removal. To facilitate the installation of the pillow, grease the brackets of the collector with soapy water (muffler) and a stretcher.

4. Similarly remove a pillow of a suspension bracket of a forward part of the main muffler.

5. Install the exhaust pipe suspension and the front of the main muffler in the reverse order of removal. To facilitate the installation of pillows, lubricate the brackets on the exhaust pipe and muffler, as well as the tails of the pillows, with soapy water.
