Removal and installation of thermal screens

During engine operation, the exhaust system heats up to a high temperature. Therefore, in case of severe mechanical damage to the thermal screens installed above the system elements, be sure to replace them. In addition to reducing the level of comfort in the cabin, a malfunction of thermal screens can lead to charring of the thermal and sound insulation of the body floor.

You will need: a 10 socket socket, a TORX T20 key.

To remove the main muffler thermal screen, do the following.



1. Unscrew the rear..



2.... and the front nuts for fastening the thermal screen of the main muffler to the clamp for fastening the fuel tank..



3….remove the plastic holder for the thermal shield…



4….and remove the thermal screen.

5. Remove the remaining thermal screens in the same way.

NOTE: All other thermal screens are fixed in the same way. The difference is only in the location of the attachment points.

6. Install thermal screens in the reverse order of removal.
