Removal and installation of thermal screens (Fusion)

During engine operation, the exhaust system heats up to a high temperature. Therefore, in case of severe mechanical damage or significant corrosion of the heat shields, be sure to replace them. In addition to reducing the level of comfort in the cabin, a malfunction of the heat shields can lead to a fire heat and noise insulation of the body floor.

You will need a 10mm socket head.

1. Unscrew the two front nuts securing the front heat shield.



2. Unscrew the two nuts securing the heat shields in the middle part of the body and remove the front heat shield.



3. Unscrew the two mounting nuts at the rear of the body…



4. …and remove the rear heat shield.

5. Install the heat shields in reverse order.
