Removal and installation of a covering of a door

Withdrawal

Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery.

Attention! As a result, data in electronic storage devices, such as an engine fault memory or a radio code, are erased. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Turn out the fastening screw and remove an overlay of the lever of opening of a door. If equipped, disconnect the power window multi-pin connector.

Remove the power window handle. To do this, insert a screwdriver between the washer -4- and the handle -5- next to the axis of the handle, and remove the stopper -6-, see figure. Pull the power window handle off the axle. Immediately after removal, insert the stopper back into the groove of the handle.



Remove the screws securing the inner door handle, after carefully removing the plugs with a small screwdriver.


Remove the inside cover of the outside rearview mirror, see 17.6.

Remove the six Phillips head screws securing the door trim after prying out the plugs with a small screwdriver. If present, disconnect the speaker's multi-pin plug.

Lift the casing up and release the casing fastening along the window opening.

Remove the door trim.

If necessary, remove the four screws securing the loudspeaker.

If necessary, carefully pull the protective film out of the door frame (soundproof door protection) and cut the glue line with a knife.

Attention! After cutting, do not touch the adhesive joint, as this will adversely affect the bonding strength during subsequent installation.

Installation

Install the protective film so that both adhesive seams are located against each other. Carefully repair or replace a damaged protective film, otherwise water may enter the interior.

If removed, connect the speaker wires and secure the speaker.

Install the door trim to the door frame. Adjust the trim so that the top edge fits into the spring clips.

Fasten the door trim with six screws, insert the plugs.

With the inside door opening handle in the open position, install the handle cover and secure with the screw.

Install the power window handle, to do this, install a spring stopper on the handle and put it on the splines of the axle. Install the handle so that when the door glass is closed, it is tilted forward and upward. Push the handle towards the door until it locks.

Fasten the door handle, insert the plugs.


Connect the ground wire to the battery terminal (-).

Set the time on the clock.

Set the radio's anti-theft code.
