Removing and installing the lock rod (Mondeo 1)

Removal

Mark the position of the lock pin "1" by outlining its outline with a marker.

Remove the two T40 screws and remove the lock rod.

Installation

Install the lock rod and secure it with two screws, do not tighten the screws.

Adjust the position of the rod in accordance with the previously applied marking and tighten the bolts with a torque of 10 Nm.

Open and close the door to check the position of the lock rod.

If necessary, loosen the screws slightly and carefully close the door, thereby moving the rod to the correct position. Finally, carefully open the door and tighten the fastening screws.
