Removal
Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
Warning! This will erase data in electronic memory devices, such as the engine fault memory device or the radio code. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.
Remove the door handle/lock assembly.
Remove spring lock "1" and disconnect the drive rod.
Turn rod "2" 90° and disconnect it from the plastic sleeve.
Disconnect the lock sensor wiring harness.
Remove the lock from the mounting plate.
Remove the door contact sensor.
Remove the plastic tensioner cover back through the mounting support.
Pull the power sheath of cable "1" up from the counter support.
Turn the cable 90° and disconnect it from lever "2".
Remove the two screws securing the door lock motor and remove the motor.
Installation
Install and secure the door lock motor.
Attach the cable to the inside door opening handle.
Insert the plastic tensioner cover.
Insert and secure the door contact sensor.
Install and secure the door lock to the mounting plate. Connect the lock sensor wiring harness.
Attach the drive rod to the door lock and secure it with the spring stopper.
Connect the ground (-) wire to the battery terminal. Set the clock time. Set the radio anti-theft code.
