The front suspension is independent, lever-spring type MacPherson, with telescopic shock absorber struts, coil springs, lower wishbones and anti-roll bar.
The main element of the front suspension is a telescopic shock absorber strut, which combines the functions of a telescopic element of the guide mechanism and a damping element of vertical oscillations of the wheel relative to the body. A coiled cylindrical spring, an upper support assembly with a bearing and a compression buffer, through which the load is transferred to the car body, are assembled on the shock absorber strut.
The shock absorber strut 1 (Fig. 7.1) is connected to the steering knuckle 2 with a tie bolt. The steering knuckle is connected to the lower arm 4 via the ball joint 3. The lower arms are attached to the subframe 7 of the front suspension with silent blocks 6 and rubber bushings 5 of the rear support. The subframe, in turn, is attached to the body side members with bolts.
The anti-roll bar with rubber bushings installed on it is connected to the subframe 7 of the front suspension of the vehicle by two brackets, and to the front suspension strut by the stabilizer struts 9.
The front wheel hubs are mounted on double-row radial thrust ball bearings.
