Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement

You will need: all the tools needed to remove the clutch pedal (cm. «Removal and installation of the clutch pedal»), and a flat blade screwdriver.



1. Remove the cap from the master cylinder reservoir..



2.... and pump out the brake fluid from the section of the reservoir of the main brake cylinder that feeds the hydraulic clutch release, for example, with a large medical syringe.

NOTE: The reservoir shared between the brake and clutch master cylinders consists of three separate sections: two for separate brake circuits and one for the clutch release.




3. Remove the battery tray (cm. «Removal and installation of the shelf of fastening of the rechargeable battery»).




4. Squeeze the clamps of the hose tip to the master clutch release cylinder..



5.... and disconnect the hose from the master cylinder reservoir.



6. Use a screwdriver to press the retainer of the tip of the hydraulic clutch release pipeline..



7.... and disconnect the pipeline from the master cylinder of the clutch release drive.




8. Remove the clutch pedal assembly with the bracket (cm. «Removal and installation of the clutch pedal»).



9. Remove the clutch master cylinder from the hole in the front shield into the passenger compartment.



NOTE: In addition to the method described, it is possible to remove the clutch pedal assembly with the clutch release master cylinder and then disconnect the cylinder from the pedal bracket.





10. Examine a cover and a sealant of the cylinder. Replace severely compressed, hardened, or torn parts.



11. If necessary, disconnect the hose from the cylinder by sliding the clamp A his tip.

12. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal and bleed the air from the hydraulic actuator (cm. «Bleeding the hydraulic clutch release»).
