Clutch Master Cylinder Replacement

            0

You will need: all the tools needed to remove the clutch pedal (see Removing and installing the clutch pedal), and a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Remove the master cylinder reservoir cap and drain the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir section that feeds the clutch release hydraulic actuator, for example, with a large medical syringe.

NOTE: The reservoir shared between the brake and clutch master cylinders consists of three separate sections: two for separate brake circuits and one for the clutch release.

2. Remove the battery mounting shelf (refer to Removing and Installing the Battery Shelf).

3. Squeeze the clamps on the hose tip to the clutch release master cylinder and disconnect the hose from the brake master cylinder reservoir.

4. Use a screwdriver to press the retainer of the tip of the hydraulic clutch release pipeline..

5.... and disconnect the pipeline from the master cylinder of the clutch release actuator.

6. Remove the clutch pedal assembly with bracket (see Removing and installing the clutch pedal).

7. Remove the main cylinder of the clutch release drive from the hole in the front shield into the passenger compartment.

NOTE: In addition to the method described, it is possible to remove the clutch pedal assembly with the clutch release master cylinder and then disconnect the cylinder from the pedal bracket.

8. Examine a cover and a sealant of the cylinder. Replace severely compressed, hardened, or torn parts.

9. If necessary, disconnect the hose from the cylinder by sliding the latch A of its tip.

10. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal and bleed the air from the hydraulic actuator (see Bleeding the hydraulic clutch release).
