Removing and installing the decorative trim on the tailgate (Focus 2)

You will need: a 10 mm socket head and fine-nosed pliers.

1. Remove the lower part of the tailgate trim (see "Removing and installing the rear door trim").

2. Disconnect the rear lid lock release button wiring harness connector.

3. Disconnect the wire connectors from the right…

5. Unscrew the four nuts securing the decorative trim to the door panel…

6. … use pliers to squeeze one piston on the left and one on the right of the pad…
