Removal and installation of a back door

1. Open the tailgate and disconnect the rear window defroster and wiper connectors.



2. Remove the seal at the top of the door opening.

3. Unscrew two mounting screws on each side of the rear rack.

4. Remove retaining clips for headlining trim and unscrew trim in rear door area.

5. Unscrew the bolts securing the gas-filled door stops. Remove the plastic pin to remove the ball joint.

6. While holding the door, unscrew the door hinges from the body and remove the door.

7. Remove the upholstery from the door by turning the upholstery fixing clips 90°.

8. Remove the tailgate lock and wiper motor.

9. Remove the lock cylinder after removing the spring clip.

10. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
