Positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose (1.8/2.0/1.6 Zetec-E)

Withdrawal

1. Disconnect a wire of weight from the accumulator. See Section 414-01 for more information.

2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. See Section 303-03 for more information.

3. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation hose (PCV) from PCV valve (catalytic converter removed for clarity).



4. Lower the car.

5. Detach the thermostat housing and secure it to the side.



6. Disconnect the PCV hose.



7. Disconnect the PCV hose from the intake manifold.



8. Remove the PCV hose.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.
