Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) Hose (1.8/2.0/1.6 Zetec-E) (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01.

2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Section 303-03 for additional information.

3. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from the PCV valve (catalytic converter removed for clarity).



4. Lower the vehicle.

5. Disconnect the thermostat housing and secure it to the side.



6. Disconnect the PCV hose.



7. Disconnect the PCV hose from the intake manifold.





8. Remove the PCV hose.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
