All Focus models are equipped with hydraulic power steering. It supports the steering according to the load. The slower you drive, the more support the steering mechanism has, at higher speeds the steering is more direct. Apart from minor maintenance work (checking the hydraulic system for leaks, adding hydraulic oil, etc.), it is better to leave all power steering repairs to a Ford dealer.
Progressive servo control support
When parking or maneuvering, the steering support is fully engaged, and vice versa, from about 10 km/h the steering servo support is gradually reduced. In practice, this makes sense: in the high-speed range, the force actually applied to turn the wheels is reduced.
