All Focus models are equipped with hydraulic servo control. It keeps the steering working according to the load. The slower you drive, the more steering support, at higher speeds the steering is more direct. In addition to minor maintenance work (checking the hydraulic system for leaks, filling in hydraulic oil, etc.) better leave all servo repairs to a Ford dealer.
Progressive servo control support
When parking or maneuvering, the steering assistance is fully engaged, and vice versa, from about 10 km/h the steering servo assistance is gradually reduced. In practice, this makes sense: in the high speed range, the force actually applied to turn the wheels is reduced.
