Handbrake adjustment

As mentioned above, the rear brake collets have an automatic setting device. After removing the handbrake cables, you must adjust the base length of the control cables.

Stages of work



Pull the handbrake lever as far as it will go a few times, the pretensioned cables will sit correctly and equalize their length.

Loosen the set nut on the handbrake lever.

Pull the handbrake lever over four to six slots.

Tighten the adjusting nut to approx. 4 Nm.

Check the stroke of the lever - the brake linings should slightly adjoin the brake discs from about the fourth groove and block the discs no later than on the seventh tooth.
