Diagnostics of malfunctions of system of ignition

First of all, you should find out if there is an ignition spark. To do this, unscrew the spark plugs, insert them into the tips and connect each spark plug individually to ground. At the same time, do not hold the tips of the spark plugs and high-voltage wires with your hands, but with a well-insulated clamp. Ask an assistant to turn on the starter.

Attention. To avoid damage to the catalytic converter, gasoline injection must be eliminated. To do this, disconnect the plug connection of the valve injectors or the fuel pump relay respectively. Observe safety regulations when working on electronic ignition systems.

Note: It is recommended that you first interrogate the engine control unit's fault code memory (at the service station).

Fault: The engine starts poorly or does not start at all.
