Warning: When opening the expansion tank cap on a hot engine, care must be taken as hot fumes may escape and cause severe burns.
Warning: Do not allow coolant to come into contact with clothing or the paintwork of the vehicle, otherwise rinse the surface with plenty of water.
1. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.
2. Place a clean container under the vehicle to drain the coolant from the cooling system.
3. Remove the cap from the expansion tank.
4. Unscrew the drain plug in the radiator and drain the coolant from the system.
