Steering wheel centering (Scorpio 1)

            0

This action is used to correct small errors (up to 60°) in the steering wheel alignment. To correct large errors, remove the steering wheel and adjust the steering wheel position when installing it.

1. Set the wheels to point straight ahead and mark the angle by which the steering wheel adjustment needs to be made.

2. Raise the front of the car.

3. Loosen the locknuts of both steering rods. Also loosen the clamps securing the protective covers.

4. Place alignment marks between the end of each tie rod and the tip.

5. Turn both steering rods in the same direction by the same angle to adjust the steering wheel position. Turning the rod by an angle of 19° results in a steering wheel position adjustment of 1°.
