Steering wheel centering

            0

This action is to correct small errors (up to 60°) in steering wheel centering. To eliminate large errors, remove the steering wheel and correct the position of the steering wheel when installing it.

1. Set the wheels to drive straight ahead and note the angle by which the steering wheel setting needs to be corrected.

2. Raise the front of the car.

3. Loosen locknuts on both tie rods. Also loosen the clamps securing the protective covers.

4. Apply alignment marks between the end of each tie rod and the tip.

5. Turn both tie rods in the same direction by the same angle to correct the position of the steering wheel. Turning the rod through an angle of 19°results in a steering wheel adjustment of 1°.
