Models before April 1992
1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.
2. Remove the horn button from the center of the steering wheel using a lever.
3. Unscrew the three screws that secure the horn switch plate. Remove the plate and disconnect the wires.
4. Lock the steering column lock, then unscrew the steering wheel mounting nut.
5. Mark the position of the steering wheel to the shaft, then remove the steering wheel.

6. Remove the intermediate ring (indicated by the arrow) located under the steering wheel.
Models from April 1992
The steering wheel is removed in the same way as earlier models, except that the steering wheel is secured with a bolt.
