Attention! Before raising the rear of the vehicle, engage 1st gear and chock the front wheels. With the rear end raised, place secure supports next to the jack.
Attention! shock absorbers (left and right) replace in pairs.
Attention! Do not remove both shock absorbers at the same time with the rear of the vehicle suspended, as lowering the rear suspension beam below the permissible limit may damage the pipelines and hoses of the brake system.
1. Remove the rear fenders (see «Removal and installation of wheel mudguards and fender liner»).
2. Install a jack and lightly jack up the rear beam to relieve the shock absorber lower mounting bolt.
3. Holding the bolt from turning, unscrew the nut with the second wrench..
4.... and remove the shock absorber eye from the lower mounting bracket.
5. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a support of the top fastening of a shock-absorber …
6.... and remove the shock absorber from the car.
7. Turn away a nut of fastening of a rod of the shock-absorber, keeping a rod from turning, and remove the top support of a rear shock-absorber. Carefully inspect the upper shock absorber mount - it should not show signs of aging. Otherwise, replace the support.
8. Establish the shock-absorber in an order, the return to removal.
