Removal and installation of the vacuum pump (diesel)

            0

The vacuum pump in a diesel engine is located on the cylinder head, it is driven by a camshaft through a pushrod. The pump creates the vacuum necessary for the brake booster, since in diesel engines, unlike gasoline engines, sufficient vacuum is not created in the suction pipe.

Withdrawal

Disconnect the oil return hose -4- and the rarefaction hose going to the brake booster from the vacuum pump;

First unscrew the upper bolt -6-, then the lower bolt -7-, remove the vacuum pump.

Installation

Install seal -2-. First check it for defects, replace if necessary.

Screw in the bottom bolt only a few turns of thread, install a vacuum pump, screw in the top bolt.

Attention! The top bolt of the vacuum pump -5- also secures the bracket -4- for the glow plug wires.

Tighten both bolts evenly.

Connect the oil return hose and vacuum hose.
