Replacing the rear wheel hub (Mondeo 4)

You will need a TORX T50 key.

1. Loosen the tightening of the nuts of the corresponding wheel.

2. Engage first gear and place chocks under the front wheels. Raise and securely support the rear of the vehicle.

3. Remove the appropriate wheel.

3. Remove the appropriate wheel.


4. Remove the rear brake disc (see Replacing the rear wheel brake disc).

4. Remove the rear brake disc (see Replacing the rear wheel brake disc).


5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor located at the rear of the hub and remove the rear wheel speed sensor by unscrewing the mounting bolt (see Removing and installing rear wheel speed sensors).

5. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor located at the rear of the hub and…


6. Remove the four hub mounting bolts.



6. Remove the four hub mounting bolts.


7. Remove the hub while holding the brake shield.

8. Remove the brake shield.

9. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
