Replacing the rear lower arm of the rear suspension

You will need: keys "for 15", "for 18", "for 19", spacer (see point 3).

1. Remove the rear suspension spring (refer to Rear Suspension Spring Replacement).

2. Remove the stabilizer bar assembly with struts (refer to Rear Suspension Anti-roll Bar Part Replacement).



3. Install a spacer 226 mm high and 40 mm wide between the rear lower arm of the rear suspension and the upper spring plate, jack up the trailing arm to clamp the spacer.



4. Mark the position of the shim in the rear suspension subframe bracket.



5. Turn away a nut of an adjusting bolt..




6….and remove the nut.



7. Remove washer.

8. Remove the adjusting bolt from the holes of the arm and suspension cross member..



9….and remove the rear lower rear suspension arm.



10. Carefully inspect the lever, replace the deformed lever. Signs of wear are early bulging and delamination of the rubber from the metal bushing. To replace the silent blocks, you will need pullers of the right size.

11. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: After replacing the rear lower rear suspension arm, check and adjust wheel alignment if necessary (see Checking and Adjusting Wheel Alignment). Use the services of workshops with special equipment.
