Rear Suspension Trailing Arm Replacement

You will need: a "7" key, a "15" socket, a TORX T30 key.

1. Remove the rear suspension spring (refer to Rear Suspension Spring Replacement).

2. Remove the rear wheel hub and rear brake shield (see Rear Wheel Hub Replacement).

3. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the trailing arm (refer to Replacing the Rear Parking Brake Cables).

4. Disconnect from holders on the lever a plait of wires of the gauge of frequency of rotation of a wheel.



5. Install a 226 mm high x 40 mm wide spacer between the rear lower rear suspension arm and the upper spring plate, jack up the trailing arm to clamp the spacer.



6. Turn out bolts of fastening to the trailing arm of the upper..



7….and front lower arms.




8. Remove the front lower arm from the eye of the trailing arm.



9. Remove the rear lower arm (refer to Rear Lower Arm Replacement).



10. Turn out two bolts of fastening of arms of the trailing arm to a body and remove the trailing arm of a back suspension bracket.



11. Carefully inspect the lever, replace the deformed lever. Signs of wear of the silent block are ruptures, one-sided bulging and delamination of rubber from a metal bushing.

12. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: After replacing the rear trailing arm, check and adjust wheel alignment if necessary (see Checking and Adjusting Wheel Alignment). Use the services of workshops with special equipment.
