Replacing the rear suspension stabilizer bar components (Mondeo 4)

You will need: 13 and 15 mm wrenches, and a 5 mm Allen key.

1. Loosen the nuts securing the strut to the anti-roll bar…

2….and to the longitudinal arm bracket, holding the rack from turning.

3. Remove the rear suspension stabilizer bar. Remove the second bar in the same way.

3. Remove the rear suspension stabilizer bar. Remove the second bar in the same way.


4. Unscrew the two bolts securing the stabilizer brackets and remove the stabilizer bar assembly with the cushions and mounting brackets.

5. Pry it up with a screwdriver…

6….and remove the stabilizer bar mounting bracket.

7. Release the rubber cushion…

8….and remove it from the stabilizer bar.

9. Install new cushions and press on the stabilizer mounting brackets.

10. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
