Removing the wheel hub on vehicles manufactured before December 1997, proceed as follows:

- loosen the wheel nuts, raise the rear of the car and remove the wheel;

- place the jack under the transverse suspension arm and raise it so that it is under load;

- in the presence of ABS, disconnect the corresponding plug connector and remove the sensor;

- disconnect the brake pipeline and brake hose and free them from the holders, plug their openings to avoid contamination;

- Remove the brake drum;

- remove the steering knuckle (pic. 222), turning the hub flange so as to gain access to all four mounting bolts;

- remove the brake caliper and tie it with a wire so that it does not hang down on the brake cable;

- remove the hub, for which unfasten the shock absorber from the rear side, three nuts and bolts of the jet thrust, the upper, side and transverse levers, while the transverse lever must remain on the jack so that the spring does not fall out;

Install in the reverse order of removal. The required tightening torques are indicated in the text or in the appendix. The wheel hub is tightened to a torque of 68 Nm, the ABS sensor to a torque of 10 Nm.

After installing the wheel hub, bleed the brake system.
