Removing and installing shock absorbers (Mondeo 2)

The rear shock absorbers can be removed separately, without removing the other parts. To perform this work, place the car on reliable supports.

Remove the shock absorbers in the following order:

- place a jack under the suspension arm and lift it so that it moves together with the shock absorber;

- unscrew the shock absorber from the top and bottom, knock out the bolts and remove it.

Install in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the upper fastening element to 85 N·m, the lower one to 120 N·m.
