Removing and installing the anti-roll bar (Mondeo 2)

The stabilizer is mounted on the rear side of the frame cross member and is attached to both suspension arms using connecting rods. Removing and installing the stabilizer is not particularly difficult.

Remove the anti-roll bar in the following order:

- raise the rear of the car;

- release the connection shown in Fig. 219 on both transverse levers and remove the washer and rubber bushing;

- unscrew the mounting clamps on the back of both wishbones and remove the stabilizer.

Install in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the clamps to 25 Nm, and tighten the tie rod nuts to 35 Nm.
