Traction control system

            0

See position 24 in paragraph 2.

Operating principle

The traction control system prevents the drive wheels from spinning when traction is poor. When one of them begins to slip due to insufficient grip on the road surface, the traction control system simultaneously with the ABS reduces the engine torque and equalizes the speed of rotation of the drive wheels. At this time, the driver may feel a slight push on the accelerator pedal. In addition, the control lamp on the instrument panel starts flashing.

When the ignition is switched on, the traction control and ABS warning lights come on for about 3 seconds. This shows that both systems are working.

If one of the control lamps does not light up when the ignition is on or remains on, then there is a problem in the system. In this case, you should immediately contact the Service Center.

Warning: Despite the high level of safety that both systems provide, you should not rely on it completely and expose yourself to unnecessary risks when driving.

Switching off the traction control system

If the vehicle's wheels are equipped with snow chains or the driver likes to drive fast, it is recommended to disable the traction control system. To do this, a corresponding switch is installed on the front panel. While the system is not working, the control lamp will be on.

To turn the system back on, press the switch again and restart the engine.

Driving with traction control active

On snowy roads and ice

The system optimizes the fuel supply to the engine.

On sandy and soft ground

The system prevents the wheels from quickly sinking into sand or mud.

On the slopes

Provides stable engine braking even on very steep slopes.
