Seat belts are an indispensable accessory of the car, which allows in many cases to avoid injury and damage, they should always be used. Each belt is designed for one person only. When fastening, you need to make sure that the belt is not loose, twisted or pressed by something heavy.

Fastening belts

Gently pull the belt out of the rack, insert the tip tab into the lock and push it. You should hear a click. If the belt is pulled out sharply, it will jam. In this case, it is necessary to loosen the belt tension and continue to pull it out again, but more smoothly.

The upper part of the fastened belt should pass through the center of the shoulder, the lower part should lie on the hips, not on the stomach.

To release the belt, press the red buckle button: the tongue will pop out of the buckle and the belt will automatically return to the spool.

The seat belts are most secure when the seatback is in a nearly upright position.

Adjusting the height of the front seat belts

The belt should not be at neck level. To change the height of its attachment, press the button on the stand and lock the attachment of the belt in one of 4 positions.

Additional belt tension system

An advanced system with additional belt tension significantly reduces the possibility of injury in a collision. In an emergency, along with the usual inertial belt fixation coil, an additional belt tension system is activated. This system is deployed in conjunction with the airbag. At the same time, the longitudinal position of the seat is blocked, as a result of which the driver and front passenger are rigidly fixed relative to the body.

The additional tensioning system only works in severe emergency situations and does not work in small collisions. See the next paragraph for more details.

Warning: If the seat belt system is defective, it should ONLY be repaired by a Service Center.

Rear seat center belt

The center seat belt works in the same way as the other belts. How to properly position it is shown in the figure.
