Five-speed manual transmission

Reverse gear can only be engaged when the vehicle is stationary. To engage reverse gear, lift the blocking ring (1) and move the lever back (2).

Warning: Do not apply unnecessary lateral force when shifting from 5th to 4th gear, as this may cause unintentional selection of second gear.

Automatic transmission

In an automatic transmission, gear shifting is controlled electronically. 4th gear - overdrive. It can be manually enabled or disabled as needed.

On vehicles with automatic transmission, engine idle (provisions «N» And «R») electronics limits up to 4100 rpm.

Automatic transmission selector lever positions

R - parking. In this position, the drive wheels are locked so that the machine cannot roll away unintentionally.

Warning: Never move the selector lever to position P while the vehicle is moving!

The selector lever can only be moved out of position P when the ignition is on and the brake pedal is depressed. With a discharged battery, the selector lever can be moved out of the parking position even when the ignition is off (see paragraph 29).

R - reverse. The selector lever can only be moved to this position when the vehicle is stationary and the engine is idling.

N - neutral. In this position, you can start the engine or keep it idling - torque is not transmitted to the drive wheels.

D - movement. This position is for normal driving. Gear shifting is carried out automatically depending on driving conditions. A mode with overdrive and without overdrive is possible.

With overdrive

This is the most commonly used driving mode. All four gears are selected automatically.

Without overdrive

If frequent shifts between 4th and 3rd gears occur while driving, then the overdrive function should be disabled. To do this, press the button located on the side of the shift lever. The control lamp on the instrument panel will show that the overdrive is disabled. After that, the transmission will select only 1-3 gears. To resume the function, press the same button again.

After turning the ignition off and on again, the mode is automatically restored "with overdrive".

Warning: If the overdrive is disengaged and the warning light "0/D OFF" flashes, it means that the automatic transmission control system is faulty. You should urgently contact the Service Center to check the system and troubleshoot.

2 - gear 2. In this position, the transmission operates only in second gear. It is advisable to use it when driving downhill to make better use of engine braking, as well as on long climbs and on winding roads, at a speed of no more than 40 km / h. This mode is also useful for starting off on slippery roads.

1 - gear 1. The transmission only works in 1st gear. This mode is most suitable for steep climbs and descents.

Selector lever lock

To move the selector lever to positions «R» or «2» (except for transition 1-2) And «R», press the button on the side of the lever handle and depress the brake pedal. The ignition key must be in position II.

Engine start

The engine can only be started if the selector lever is set to «N» or «R».

Selection of the position of the selector lever

Warning: With the engine running, before moving the lever out of position «R», you need to press the button located on the side of the lever handle and the brake pedal.

Transmission control switch (E/S)

The transmission mode switch is located next to the selector lever. It allows you to select either E- or S-modes.

E - economy mode. In this mode, upshifts and downshifts occur at lower engine speeds. Economy mode is the most suitable for normal driving.

S - sports mode. In it, the transition to a higher gear occurs at maximum engine speed. This achieves maximum use of power and intensive acceleration of the car. Downshifting occurs at higher engine speeds, such as when overtaking fast. Sport mode is useful when driving with a load.

Switching modes E-S is possible both during parking and while driving. The control pump on the instrument panel lights up when the mode is selected «S».

The last selected mode remains after the ignition is switched off.

Parking brake

The parking brake fixes the position of the rear wheels. To activate it, you need to pull the lever straight up, to release - pull up slightly, press the lock button and lower the lever down.

Warning: Always apply the parking brake fully when leaving the vehicle. In order not to waste extra effort, simultaneously with tightening the lever, press the brake pedal.

Compartment for audio cassettes and CDs

This compartment is located in the center console. Raise the armrest to open it.

The CD changer is usually located under the passenger seat.

Compartment for coins and pens

A dedicated coin slot and pen clips are located to the right of the parking brake.

Compartment for dishes

To use the cup and bottle compartment, fold back the armrest between the front seats.

Rear ashtrays

To open the ashtray, fold it down. To remove - press the spring clip.

Gas tank cap

To open the fuel tank, pull the remote control lever located at the bottom of the driver's seat.

If the lever is defective, a spare handle is located in the luggage compartment on the right.
