Checking external lighting fixtures (Focus 2)

Check the operation of the headlights, taillights, additional brake light, turn signals and license plate light. Replace faulty bulbs (see "Replacing Bulbs").

The following lamps are used in cars:



1 – front side light bulb, bulb type W5W;

2 – high beam lamp, lamp type H7U;

3 – Front direction indicator lamp, lamp type PY21W;

4 – low beam lamp, lamp type H1U;



– front fog lights (if installed), bulb type H8.

On cars with a sedan body:



1 – rear brake light and side light bulb, bulb type P21W;



2 – Reversing light bulb, bulb type P21W;

3 – Rear turn signal lamp, lamp type PY21W;

4 – fog light/side light bulb, bulb type P21/5W.

On hatchback cars:



1 – Rear direction indicator lamp, lamp type PY21W;

2 – brake light/side light bulb, bulb type P21/5W.

NOTE: On station wagons, the following bulbs are installed in the rear light (from top to bottom):

NOTE: – Reversing light bulb, bulb type P21W;

NOTE: – Rear direction indicator bulb, bulb type PY21W;

NOTE: – fog light/side light bulb, bulb type P21/ 5W.

For all cars:



– rear fog light bulb, bulb type P21W;



– reversing light bulb, bulb type P21W;





– additional brake light bulb, bulb type P5W (5 pcs.);



– side indicator lamp, lamp type WY5W (or W5W for side indicator lamps with amber lens);

NOTE: Depending on the equipment, the side turn signal may be located in the side rearview mirror.

– license plate light bulbs, lamp type C5W.
