Electrical equipment faults (Focus 2)

Most often, electrical equipment malfunctions occur during everyday use of a car. For objective reasons, electrical equipment repairs should preferably be carried out by qualified car service specialists.

WARNING: Electrical fault (short circuit) may cause electrical wiring to catch fire and cause a fire.

If any electrical equipment circuit fails, first check whether the fuse protecting it has blown, referring to Tables 10.1 and 10.2 (see "Mounting Blocks"). Replace the faulty fuse. Repeated blowing of the same fuse is a signal for immediate repair of the corresponding electrical equipment circuit.

WARNING: It is strictly forbidden to replace a blown fuse with another one of a higher rating or with a "bug".
