In addition, the vehicle identification number is located in the lower left corner of the windshield opening..




... and on the floor of the car on the passenger side under the noise insulation. In order to see the number, bend the cut-out part of the noise insulation.



The number is also duplicated on the floor of the car under the rear seat cushion under the carpet.



NOTE: On the left side of the frame of the windscreen under the instrument panel, a plate is attached with tear-off rivets, on which the last eight characters of the identification number are duplicated (VIN), the colors of the body and interior of the car, the number of doors are indicated.





Deciphering the identification number, for example X9F5XXEED56L00000:

X9F - international code of the manufacturer (plant in Vsevolozhsk);

5 – body type (3 - three-door hatchback; 4 - sedan; 5 - five-door hatchback; W - station wagon);

XX is a constant;

E - manufacturing company and country of production (Ford Motor Company, Russia);

E - assembly plant code (factory in Vsevolozhsk);

D - model code (Focus);

5 – body type (3 - three-door hatchback; 4 - sedan; 5 - five-door hatchback; W - station wagon);

6 - year of issue (2006);

L - issue month code (tab. 1.2);

00000 - serial number.

The model number and designation of the gasoline engines with a working volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters are stamped on the tide of the cylinder block behind the throttle assembly (pic. 1.6).

The model number and designation of the 2.0L petrol engines are stamped on the rear of the cylinder block on the left side (in the direction of the vehicle).

The 1.8 liter diesel engine model number and designation are stamped on the intake pipe.
