...and on the floor of the car on the front passenger side under the sound insulation. To see the number, bend back the cut out part of the sound insulation.

The number is duplicated on the floor of the car under the rear seat cushion under the carpet.

NOTE: On the left side of the windshield frame, under the instrument panel, there is a plate attached with tear-off rivets, which duplicates the last eight characters of the identification number (VIN), indicates the body and interior colors of the car, and the number of doors.

Decoding the identification number, for example X9F5XXEED56L00000:
X9F — international code of the manufacturer (plant in Vsevolozhsk);
5 – body type (3 – three-door hatchback; 4 – sedan; 5 – five-door hatchback; W — station wagon);
XX — constant;
E — manufacturer and country of manufacture (Ford Motor Company, Russia);
E — assembly plant code (plant in Vsevolozhsk);
D - model code (Focus);
5 – body type (3 – three-door hatchback; 4 – sedan; 5 – five-door hatchback; W — station wagon);
6 – year of release (2006);
L — code of the month of issue (table 1.2);
00000 - serial number.

The number and model designation of petrol engines with a working volume of 1.4 and 1.6 liters are stamped on the cylinder block boss behind the throttle assembly (Fig. 1.6).
The number and model designation of 2.0 litre petrol engines are stamped on the rear of the cylinder block on the left side (in the direction of vehicle travel).
The number and model designation of diesel engines with a working volume of 1.8 liters are stamped on the inlet pipe.
